Service Description

Unlock your inner author with this 6 week class. Learn the basics of writing a good story and exceptional characters. Whether you are a writer of years or just finding interest, this class will motivate, inspire, and stretch you to create something meaningful with your words. This course will cover these topics: • What is a good story? • How to brainstorm & organize ideas. • Choosing the right style and flow. • Writing characters that readers love (or hate). • Working around Writer's Block. • Finishing well. These classes will equip and inform students with the tools needed to write a book successfully. With homework and guided exercises, students will begin to form their ideas into storylines. After 6 weeks, students will be able to begin their work and prepare for the Editing Module. Students will have exclusive access to a forum for discussion and accountability and additional resources for six months to one year after each module. This will provide a safe space to seek advice, share creatively, and receive valuable feedback and accountability. If students keep to the provided writing schedule and complete all 3 modules successively, they will have a novel in one year, but this course can be taken at the pace of the student.
