Novel in a Year | Editing Module

Service Description

Put on your reading glasses and pick up your red pen for this 4 week class. Learn the ins and outs of editing - your work and others. This class will exercise your attention to detail and your desire for excellent writing. This course will cover these topics: • Giving and Receiving Constructive Criticism • Plot Holes and Story Feedback • Punctuation & Grammar • Sentence Structure and Flow These classes will equip and inform students with the tools needed to edit a book successfully. With homework and guided exercises, students will begin to look deeply at their writing, as well as the writing of their peers. During and after these 4 weeks, students will be begin their editing work and prepare for the Publishing Module. Students will have exclusive access to a forum for discussion and accountability and additional resources for six months to one year after each module. This will provide a safe space to seek advice, share creatively, and receive valuable feedback and accountability. If students keep to the provided writing and editing schedule and complete all 3 modules successively, they will have a novel in one year, but this course can be taken at the pace of the student.
